Rebecca Maxcy, LMP, CBP

Rebecca's passion for health and healing began at a very early age. "I can remember looking at Medical Text books at the age of 10 and being awed and fascinated by colored slides of the brain, heart, and other body organs. I thought how do all these things work together to create the magic and mystery of the human body?" Now she says, "Well the human body is not as mysterious anymore. But the human being and all if it's functioning is still quite magical!"

In the late nineteen eighties, while working her way through college, Rebecca was employed as a Medical Assistant for a holistic Medical Doctor. Here she was introduced to many types of alternative healing ideas including: dark field therapy, chelation therapy, energy healing devices such as Dr. Voll's E.A.V. machine and T.E.N.S. machines, homeopathy, nutritional therapy and many other holistic and natural approaches to health care.

Later she worked for a group practice of Naturopaths and Acupuncturists and continued to learn about natural healing modalities.

In 1993 she enrolled in Brenneke School of Massage. Although initially trained in Swedish Massage, Rebecca has studied many other types of bodywork and energy healing techniques. In 1999 she studied with a Shamanic Healer for two years to obtain an understanding of Spirit and Healing from an indigineous culture's perspective. Then in 2007 she enrolled in The Academy for Coach Training to further understand the role thoughts, beliefs and emotions play in our health; and to work with people in obtaining a Sense of Purpose to their life. It was in 2008 that she discovered BodyTalk. And it has been the perfect platform for all of her other skills and training to come together for supporting others in their healing.

She continues to expand her knowledge and understanding of the human body and it's function. And her zest for learning keeps her continuously questioning "What is Health?"

To that end she says, "It is my belief that Health is about more than just balancing our physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies; health is about understanding our true path in life and attempting to walk that path no matter where it takes us. Having a condition, dealing with symptoms or recovering from any illness provides some of the greatest opportunites for real growth and for true health to be revealed."

Having been in the Healing Arts field for over 20 years she brings a wealth of wisdom and information to her practice.

Rebecca lives in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley with her husband Bart; three children Ben, Bayley and Bella; and their dog, Max. In her spare time Rebecca enjoys reading, nature, creating art, family life, spending time with friends, receiving Bodywork of all types, and life long learning.
